March 17, 2016 was held scientific seminar “Movosvit Shevchenko”, devoted to the 202nd birth anniversary of the poet. The seminar was attended by students of the third year of the Faculty of Linguistics. With opening remarks addressed to the participants of the seminar guests – Ur Marina, Ph.D., senior researcher of the Institute of Contemporary Art, in its report scientist briefed the audience on painting heritage Shevchenko period of its participation in the Archaeological Commission.
During the workshop, participants heard reports of students with presentations prepared together with the teacher Nechiporenko AF, which presented multifaceted life and work of Shevchenko feature the author’s writing. The interest aroused report covering issues of translation, including professional orientation of students, “English-language translation of Shevchenko’s poetic heritage” (Sivolodska A.), “Shevchenko translation activities” (Hresova A.) “Modern translations of English” (Porodko K.) and the status of translation of German and French poet (Kovalenko K., and K. Filchuk). Appreciation audience took their translations Shevchenko made their student group Kovalenko LF-31 C.
