Rhetoric: the art of rhetoric or a means of manipulation?

Rhetoric is one of the oldest socio-linguistic disciplines. People have long known the strength of verbal art and used its entire history. But the attitude of the rhetoric has changed, depending on the progress of science and some knowledge. The human personality evolved. What is the rhetoric today: the art of rhetoric or means of manipulation of the human mind? The answer is looking for students 1 year of study ESC IASA NTUU "Igor Sikorsky KPI " during the academic seminar held 11.04.2016 year. Students of trying to deduce general trends in the use of rhetorical techniques of our time and conclude what is a rhetoric now, analyzing public speeches of famous people (politicians, scientists, artists, writers, public figures).
