The love as the rise of the soul, as death and rebirth… (Lesya Ukrainka «The Forest Song»)

Gerasymchuk Valentyna. The love as the rise of the soul, as death and rebirth… (Lesya Ukrainka «The Forest Song»)

The article is an attempt to open up an interpretative discourse on metaphysics of love and its deep manifestations in the life of Lesya Ukrainka and her works, in particular her drama
«The Forest Song».
Lesya Ukrainka was fated to experience all stages to one of the most desirable existential states in human life, love, which became not only her heartfelt knowledge but also an inexhaustible source of spiritual tempering that was represented in her later works.
Basic unsolvable contradiction of romantic world view that inevitably arises between a spiritual, natural man and a social, pragmatic, utilitarian man emphasizes gnosiological possibilities of the rational and irrational attitudes towards the life.
Through the character of Nymph the poetess reinforces an idea of immortality of life, all the existence and the inspired nature and the nature of immortal spirit of a man who had gone through the trial of love.
