Syncretic nature of a myth which became a genesis of artistic consciousness, is carefully considered in this article. Especially notable is role of plot and composition of myth in the formation, establishment and functioning of folklore and literary genres. We can trace the process of transformation from myth in various folk genres (legend, epic, tale and ritual poetry) and their mythological motifs transformation. Features of the transformation of mythological motifs in literary genres which include a cycle of a narrative, idea of counterpart characters, and various mythological plots and images are also analyzed.
