115 years since the birth of Ivan Bagryany

On October 2, Ukrainians celebrate the 115th anniversary of the birth of Ukrainian poet, writer, novelist, publicist, politician Ivan Bagryany.
The figure of Ivan Bagryany is still one of the brightest and most dramatic in Ukrainian literature. Ivan Bagryany is the author of the world bestsellers "Tiger Hunters" and "Garden of Gethsemane. The writer's works were banned in Ukraine for a long time, only after the proclamation of Ukraine's independence the writer's work was "declassified": his novels were published, and on the 95th anniversary of the writer's birth he was awarded the highest state award - Taras Shevchenko State Prize of Ukraine (posthumously).
The life and work of Ivan Bagryany is an example of the indomitable strength of spirit for future and present generations.
