The course “Culturology” refers to the disciplines of social and humanitarian training (optional) Block 6 “Social humanities” and is designed for bachelor direction 6.020303 – “Philology”
The proposed discipline aimed at disclosing universal meaning and public purpose cultural studies as integrating systems knowledge about the experience of human existence in society.
Mastered the program, the student will form such competence:
conduct on certain methods correct observation of human activities in order to ekstrapolize external socio-cultural phenomenon, the results of surveillance sign in fixing the level of information;
classify observations on activity by certain methods using synchronic and diachronic features links in the natural and socio-cultural spaces.
After mastering the discipline, students must demonstrate the following learning outcomes:
knowledge:
foundations and essence of social and cultural processes;
reference person to adapt to globalization in the modern world;
foundations of its position and the possibility of strategic understanding of professional development, including professionals engineering profile.
the ability to:
pursue standardization and systematization of the results of monitoring of human activity on specific techniques with the rules of conduct;
identify cultural context by analyzing the results of observations using the criteria standardization and systematization;
integrate their activities in a cultural environment, taking into account certain specific places of social and cultural elements in the cultural context;
use acquired cultural knowledge in the conditions of direct implementation responsibilities.
