Gerasymchuk V.A. 20th century philosophical novel. The text specifity.
The study investigates the text of the 20th century philosophical novel as a polygenetic artistic structure from the culturological, philosophical and aesthetic points of view. It examines relations between movements of philisophy of culture and aesthetic practice and their influence on different types of philosophizing in the text.
The paper analizes imagery- and character sphere putting emphasis on classification, a specific type of artistic generalization, and on the author’s explications of the text subject-object hierarchy and separates and describes its narrative semantic layers. It also determines the nature of different types of pleasure one gets from the philosophical novel, particularly intellectual pleasure, and its interaction with aesthetic pleasure.
