«ОЙ, НЕ ПИЙ, КОЗАЧЕ…» — НАРОДНЕ СТАВЛЕННЯ ДО ПИЯКІВ ТА ПИЯЦТВА

The report highlights the attitude of the Ukrainian people at different times to the drunkenness and drunkard. It begins with a brief description of the current state of the problem mentioned and immediately raises the problem about youth drunkenness. The author proposes assumptions about the causes of the condition. Later in the article it’s considered the Ukrainian stereotyped memories of ancestors and refuted the idea of their passion for alcohol. The author aims to prove his point through examples of art and culture: works, sayings and songs, explaining examples. Finally, it’s fed summary of highlighted problem - is that despite the stereotypes, drunkenness isn’t cultural heritage. The tendency to alcohol appeared not so long ago and Ukrainian must correctly apply this knowledge to quickly respond to the problem.
